Making East New York Clean & Green!

East New York Restoration LDC works with Community Gardens to improve air quality, mitigate the urban heat island affect, and provide a quiet oasis.

Our two-fold purpose is:

(1) Enhance the neighborhood’s parks and gardens by keeping them clean and increasing activities in these safe, free, healthy spaces.

(2) Expose and train local youth in Green Job skills focusing on urban agriculture, energy efficiency, and solar panel installation.

East New York Restoration LDC led a NYSERDA funded project which resulted in 200+ homeowners in East New York and Brownsville receiving solar panels on their homes and reducing their energy bills at no cost to the homeowner.
